Bpost (formerly “De Post”) is the Belgian Post, a company employing more than 34.000 people and active in mail, banking and insurances (Bank of the Post).

The project

Post Academy is bpost’s internal training academy. They train all bpost’s employees with contact and online training. Since 2003, bpost uses both the Edumatic Learning Platform as the Edumatic question and test platform to train and to evaluate their people. Courses are structured in a well formed format and all user’s activity is tracked and logged for educational purposes (trying to find brainteasers and hot topics). Courses can be “need-to-know” and “nice-to-know” and have all kinds of topics, from HR issues like “Managing holidays” to IT courses and product training for banking and insurances. The online learning platform (http://www.onlinelearning.be) is also used to prepare employees for their in-company exams to move to new jobs or new levels.

Facts and figures

  • bpost has more than 54.000 online e-learning users (including people working at so called “bpost points” in supermarkets, press shops, etc.)
  • currently more than 150 courses are available in 3 languages, Dutch, French and English.
  • the online learning platform, powered by Edumatic, has very high usage statistics.
