Thousands of Flemish students have taken the annual entrance exam for doctors and dentists again last week. For the exam, nearly 6,000 candidates gathered at 74 locations in Flanders to take the test online with the assessmentQ platform.
Ready for digital
"We are very proud that AHOVOKS (Agency for Higher Education, Adult Education, Qualifications & Study Grants) has chosen our assessmentQ platform to organise this exam," says Joris Vanholme, General Manager at Televic Education. "The fact that large-scale, high-stakes exams are increasingly opting for digital proves that both the world of education and the technology are ready for it."
The fact that large-scale, high-stakes exams are increasingly opting for digital proves that both the world of education and the technology are ready for it.
Digital examinations have many undeniable advantages. First and foremost, candidates are no longer restricted by time or space. An exam can be taken from any laptop in any corner of the world. Travelling to large examination halls such as Flanders Expo or the Heysel is no longer necessary, and yet all exams can be organised synchronously and 'Covid safe'. Moreover, smart exam software also makes correcting and analysing results easier. And finally, the exam is also logged so that any disputes afterwards can be dealt with more easily.
