Taiwan's oldest and most prestigious Interpreting School selects Televic technology for new training facilities in 3 classrooms on its campus in New Taipei City
The Graduate Institute of Cross-cultural Studies at Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan, has one of the most established Interpreter Training programmes in Asia.
New facilities at the University include an Interpreter Training Suite, a Discussion room with recording and a large Conference Room, with provision for Interpretation and Audience participation.
New purpose-built rooms at Fu Jen include state-of-the-art facilities for training in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, using the very latest, industry standard interpreting equipment from Televic.
"Our new interpreter training system includes both hardware and software, which can be used in a classroom setting and in self-study mode. We are currently using the system for SI classes in our Chinese-English and Chinese-Japanese language pairs, consecutive interpreter classes, and distance learning (with SI). During non-class hours, our students also use the system for self-study and practice. The system has superior audio quality, which eliminates all interference over the microphones and headsets."
